I
am so impressed with the work and challenge that the Moungers at Prayer Lake
have undertaken.
As
a busy business owner I can readily appreciate the need for a quiet place to
get alone with God and my thoughts.
The
one thing that most people have in common is that there are not enough hours
in the day to get everything done. It is so very unfortunate that along with
family time and sleep, all too often we sacrifice our prayer and devotional
time.
Ministers
do this all the time. How many sunken-eyed, weary ministers do you know, men
and women who are trying to give the last drop from an empty, dusty container,
and have taken no time to refill it? It is the same scenario with Christian
businessmen and women.
The
importance of Prayer Lake often goes unnoticed until we reach that point
of total exhaustion and spiritual bankruptcy.
Jesus,
in His infinite wisdom, knew the importance of getting away from the crowds;
alone with His Father. Shouldn't all of us follow His example?
Keep
up the much-needed work of refilling those lamps with fresh oil.
God
Bless You All,
